First, the food did not take long to get to our tabel, we were pleasantly surprised. I got the shrimp tacos with rice. The shrimp was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. The rice was absolutely delicious and also cooked perfectly. My wife got the stake fajitas and a large margarita..........it's huge......she could not finish it lol. Overall, I think it will be a good spot for another date night
As a native Texan now living in Georgia, I am a bit of a Tex-Mex food aficionado. While in Valdosta for a holiday event, we discovered this delightful restaurant that is definitely authentic. My wife ordered and enjoyed the pollo loco. It was a thin, grilled chicken breast with sauted broccoli, onions, green peppers and squash, as well as Spanish rice. A queso sauce was tasty too. I ordered a cup of tortilla soup that had a great flavor but was sent back to be reheated since it was not hot enough for my taste. I had an ala carte cheese enchilada with red sauce that was the best I’ve had in Georgia. The waiter was a truly nice young man named Luis who shared he was the first in his family to be born in the U.S His parents were immigrants from Mexico who should be very proud of their respectful son. We will definitely be back when enjoying a live show at the Dosta Theater. Mucho gracious!
The wait staff are amazing. The waiter recommended the perfect dish for us. The margarita on the rocks was delicious. The Nachos locos on a bed of rice was delicious and filling. The flavors were paired well together. The flan was nice and cremy a bit different than i expected. But the cinnamon paired well with it. Everything was super fresh. Highly recommend if you're in the area to give them a shot.
I recently visited El Paso Tacos at 110 N Ashley St, in Valdosta, GA. I was pleasantly surprised when we went here. The decor was very interesting and I took a walk around just to check it all out. We were promptly seated and our drinks orders were taken and brought out. Our server was real good and helped us pick out some great food items. Go and try it, delicious.
Being a Texas native they definitely get my respect much love and appreciate for the food and fabulous service I received today.....
The portions were small! I like spicy and they charge extra for a tiny amount of habanero sauce. Overall I think they over charge for the quantity received.
I found everything about the meal to be very good. Our party of four was seated quickly; chips, service, meal, dessert, everything came out promptly. The salsa was not hot, but it had a good taste to it. There was also another bowl of something served with the chips. It looked sort of like a bean dip, but I’m not exactly sure what it was and I didn’t ask. The ground beef used in the various dishes tasted good to me. One person in our group did not like the way the meat was prepared. In the meat were some vegetables that they didn’t care for or expect. Parking is along a city street and it wasn’t an issue at all on a Sunday afternoon. On a Friday or Saturday night I could see you having to walk a little bit. I would eat here again and recommend it to friends.
